Ashley Nurse
Ashley is a first-year Doctoral Student at the Yale School of Public Health in the Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Department. She holds a B.A. in Medical Anthropology from Princeton University and has a background interrogating the sociocultural contexts of health in the United States. Her current research examines the intersections among racial and gendered ideologies, medical knowledge production, and Black maternal health outcomes within the United States, through a Black feminist lens. When she is not doing coursework, she can be found reading novels or listening to SZA.
