Maceo Carter diagnosed with ALS at the age of 41 on 11/8/16. Married father of four sons and huge UNC Tar Heels basketball fan! Member of several patient advisory boards and has worked with groups such as I am ALS, the ALS Association, ALS Arizona, MDA etc. through his advocacy work on accessible travel he has been a major advocate on the dealings and misgivings of airlines to passengers flying with disabilities. As of 4/29/24 the FAA reauthorization act is headed to the Senate for confirmation which would be the biggest piece of legislation around aviation in 40 years.
